Well, who cares if no one replies right now? I'll get more eventually. But anyway, the next chapter is gonna be when Link goes to Kakariko to meet up with Kelli for the fourth time. She plays a big role in the story. In fact, Link couldn't finish this adventure without her! And come to think of it, I used to consider her a secondary character. Kelli's definitely a main character because of one, how many times she appears in the story and two, how big her role is in the story. Even Sunfire, her horse, is special. That just comes to say that if a heroine is special, she should get a special horse. Kelli's special horse is Sunfire. Same goes for heroes too. Link's special horse is, of course, Epona. And Link is special himself. But anyway, I'll get started on chapter eleven. Stay tuned!

Okay, time for chapter eleven.

Chapter Eleven: Kelli’s Secret

Just as the two of them landed next to the Lakeside Laboratory, Link gasped.
“Look! The lake!” he cried. The lake was filling up again.
“Wow, so that monster was the source of the lake going dry”, Ruto concluded.
“Exactly what I was thinking”, Link added. He still felt cold, but his teeth weren’t chattering anymore.
“Gee, Link you look like you jumped in a swimming pool”, Ruto said. “I just wish I could get you a towel somehow”.
“I’m fine now, but thanks”, Link replied. “Now let’s get you back to your father”.
“Let’s use the shortcut”.
“I don’t think I can fit through it anymore”.
“Oh don’t worry, I made it bigger”.
“Well, okay”.
They dove into the lake and swam down to the shortcut entrance. It was indeed bigger like Ruto said. They went through it single file until they reached Zora’s Domain.
When they reached the surface of the water in the main chamber, the Zora on the platform noticed them.
“Princess Ruto’s back, everyone!” he hollered through the chambers. Soon, King Zora overheard it and quickly ran to the main chamber to see his daughter.
“Link, thank you, thank you, for saving the princess!” King Zora cried.
“What can I say? I’m the Hero of Time”, Link replied.
“You’re definitely my hero, Link”, Ruto said, sweetly. Link couldn’t help but smile. He seemed to be everybody’s hero along with Kelli.
“Well, I need to go now. I’m supposed to meet Kelli at Kakariko”, Link said.
“Kelli, huh? I hear she’s quite the heroine”, Ruto stated.
“Oh, she is. You should have seen her fight off this huge monster that was attacking the village just before I went to rescue Darunia”, Link replied. “She knows skills even I don’t know yet. Well, good bye”. Ruto waved good bye as Link left Zora’s Domain.
Once outside, Link headed back down the river. After fending off a few Octoroks, Link reached the entrance to Hyrule Field and entered. He swam back across the river and remembered he was still wearing his Zora Tunic and changed out of it into his Kokiri Tunic. Just as Link was about to mount Epona, however, he sneezed. Then after he mounted Epona he sneezed again.
“Oh dear, why does by nose feel stuffed?” Link asked.
“I think you’re catching a cold”, Navi replied. “It’s probably from when Hydro spit all that water at you”.
“Oh do…ACHOO!! What will Kelli say?” Link sneezed again.
“We’ll find out soon enough”. By the time they arrived at the stairs that led to Kakariko Village, Link had already sneezed more. He, of course, thought it was a bad time for him to be sneezing like this, but Navi, on the other hand, was secretly sort of glad he caught a cold. She thought he looked cute sneezing. In fact, she giggled a little every time Link let out a big achoo.
After Link dismounted Epona, he ran up the stairs and entered Kakariko. Inside, a familiar tune filled the air. It was Kelli’s Song. Kelli was humming it beautifully. Besides Malon’s, Link never heard such a beautiful voice. He saw Kelli sitting on the edge of the well and ran up to her to admire her singing voice, forgetting what he really came up for. Then seconds later, Kelli noticed him standing there and stopped humming her song.
“Hi, Link”, she said and smiled. Link smiled back.
“Wow, Kelli, your voice is like…wow”, he replied. “I don’t even dow what to say, your voice is just so beautiful”.
“Thanks”, Kelli said. “I made up the song when I was twelve. As my song improved, so did my voice”. As they were talking, Kelli noticed something was wrong with the way Link was talking. She had a suspicion of why.
“You’re wel…ACHOO!! You’re welcombe”, Link sneezed. Kelli folded her arms.
“I knew it, I knew it, I knew it”, she said. “You’ve caught a cold, haven’t you?” Link nodded.
“The boss of the dungeod I just fidished soaked me frob head to toe”, Link told Kelli.
“I can tell. Your hair is still wet”, Kelli pointed out. “Well, are you ready?”
“Ready? Oh yeah, I forgot. I’b ready to find Impa”, Link replied. “Let’s go”. Link started walking. Kelli grabbed him by the back of his tunic.
“Come back here”, Kelli said. “Don’t you still want to learn the parry?”
“Oh yeah, I forgot about that too. Of course, I still want to learn it”, Link replied.
“Then follow me. I want to teach you in secret because this special attack isn’t known to the Hyrulians and I don’t want to spill the secret”, Kelli told him. Link nodded and followed. Kelli led him past the windmill and soon they were standing between the fence and the cliff where the windmill stood. She stacked two crates and motioned Link come to her.
“Now listen. Watch my movements carefully as I parry these crates”, Kelli told Link. Link nodded. Kelli drew her sword and approached the crates. She did a sideways roll and then jumped, hitting the crates with her sword.
“Think you can handle this, Link?” Kelli asked. “You have to roll sideways first and then jump and hit the crates with your sword as you jump”.
“I think I can do it. I dow I can roll forwards and do back flips, so if I can do those, I can probably do this”, Link replied.
“How about you try just rolling sideways first? It’s easier to learn this way”, Kelli suggested.
“Okay”. Link approached the crates and tried rolling sideways. He did it rather well.
“That was pretty good. Let’s see you do it a couple more times just to make sure you get the hang of it”, Kelli said. Link nodded and did two more sideways rolls.
“Great”, Kelli said. “You sure are a fast learner”.
“Yeah, the Kokiri always thought I was talented”, Link replied.
“I’m not surprised”, Kelli stated. “But anyway, let’s continue. Next you gotta—wait! The King’s coming! Be quiet for a minute!”
“But…”
“Shush!”
Kelli just looked at the wall of the cliff as if there was something on it. Link took a peek around the cliff. She was right. And Kelli didn’t even look.
“Okay, he went down the stairs”, Kelli gave a sigh of relief.
“But how did you dow…?” Link asked, surprised. Kelli looked reluctantly down at the ground.
“Link, I have a confession to make”, she began. She looked up from the ground. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you before, I just wasn’t sure how you’d react. But I have mysterious powers and seeing through walls is one of them. I’m sorry I kept it from you for so long”. Link just stood there, eyes wide with surprise. He knew Kelli seemed to be a different girl than most, but not this different.
“Whoa, that’s abazink”, he said. “And I thought Zelda’s prophecy think was bysterious”.
“She told me about that”, Kelli replied. “Well, let’s continue. Next you gotta jump after you roll sideways and then hit the crates with your sword. Try rolling sideways and then jumping”.
“Okay”. Link did a sideways roll, but as he jumped, he sneezed and it threw him off, but instead of landing on his feet, he landed on his stomach,
“Ban that cold is getting on by derves!” Link almost shouted. He got up.
“That’s okay, you’ll get it this time”, Kelli replied. “And please keep your voice down”.
“Sorry”. Link tried again. This time he did it without sneezing.
“Good. Now try using the sword on the crates as you jump”, Kelli told Link. Link nodded. He drew his sword and approached the crates. He rolled sideways, jumped, but missed the crates as he tried to strike them with his sword.
“Ban, just barely bissed”, Link commented.
“That’s okay. It takes practice”, Kelli replied. “I had to practice too, you know. Now, let’s see you try again”.
“Okay”. Link tried the attack again. This time he hit the crates.
“Great!” Kelli said. “Think you’ve got the hang of it?”
“Sure. But what about the attack you did to that lizard-bonster?” Link asked.
“I’ll show you that another time. It’s a bit more complicated”, Kelli replied.
“Okay”, Link said. “We ready to go find Impa dow?”
“Yeah, let’s look in the graveyard first”, Kelli suggested. Then they both headed for the village graveyard.
Once there, they entered. Inside, it was foggy and some graves had been pulled. Despite the fog, Link and Kelli looked as hard as they could for any secret entrances. They looked around the graves, near the entrance to the Shadow Temple, and even near Dampe the grave keeper’s hut. But they found nothing.
About an hour after searching, Link and Kelli decided to give up. But as they were passing Dampe’s grave to leave the graveyard, Kelli suddenly tripped over something.
“Waaahh! Ah!” she yelped as she fell right through the ground. Link whipped out the Lens of Truth. Kelli fell into a hidden pit. Link saw she’d landed on her stomach.
“Kelli? You okay down there?” Link hollered. Kelli stood up and brushed herself off.
“Yeah, I think so”, Kelli replied. “You’d better get down here, there’s a cave opening”.
“Yeah, I can see it from here!” Link gasped. He started climbing down. When Link got to the bottom, he and Kelli entered the cave opening.
They found themselves inside a somewhat large room that looked rather ghostly. They knew at once it had to be the main chamber of the Underground Shadow Dungeon.

I really like your continuing enthusiasm to write dungeons. If I had to write about link going into a dungeon, pressign this wsitch, hitting the other....I would go crazy. But you can do it rather well.

Thanks! I was afraid people might not like that idea, but what the heck! I wonder how people will react to that last chapter I posted, hehe.

You just now realized that? OMG. But anyway, Chalice, did you read all the chapters so far yet? If not, you should.

Well, chapter twelve is done. Gee, it's probably the longest chapter I'll ever write.

Chapter Twelve: The Underground Shadow Dungeon

Inside the main chamber of the Underground Shadow Dungeon, there were Redeads situated around the room. Kelli groaned.
“Oh no, not Redeads. I hate those things!” she said. “Their screams are so creepy and annoying”.
“Heh, you’re tel…ACHOO! You’re tellink be”, Link sneezed. Kelli sighed.
“Link, I really don’t think it’s good for you to be running around killing monsters when you’re sick”, she remarked.
“I dow, but I have to contidue”, Link replied. “The King wouldn’t be happy if I didn’t”.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right”, Kelli said. “But cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze. That way, you won’t spread the cold”. Link nodded.
As they looked around the room, they noticed there was nothing out there but pure darkness. Link suggested he use the Lens of Truth to see if there were any invisible platforms. He took it out and looked through it. Indeed there were invisible platforms. Link and Kelli jumped across them. Suddenly, a Blue Bubble started creeping up behind Link. Kelli gasped.
“Link, look out!” she screamed. Kelli whipped out her bow and fired an arrow at the Blue Bubble.
“Wha…?” Link said, glancing up at the arrow as it hit the floating skull. Kelli sighed with relief.
“That thing was about to pound you, Link”, she said. Link glanced at Kelli’s bow. It was the same color as his, except the handle was a lighter blue and the tips were gold colored.
“Wow, I didn’t see it. Thanks”, Link replied. “By the way, that’s a dice bow you have”.
“Thanks. It’s the Guardian’s Bow. Don’t know why it’s called that”, Kelli told Link. “Maybe an ancient Guardian of the Sun or Moon used it”.
“Baybe. Did you find it while you were gone?” Link asked.
“Yes, but I don’t remember where. In fact, I don’t remember anything about this bow except the name”, Kelli replied.
“Hmm…odd”, Link said. “Well, let’s con…ACHOO! Let’s contidue”. Kelli nodded. The two of them entered the next chamber.
Kelli was still concerned about Link’s sneezing, but she knew he was right when he said the King wouldn’t be happy if he didn’t continue his journey because of it. She sighed.
In the next chamber, Link and Kelli noticed a door with bars on it to their left. On the floor in front of it was a crest that looked like a sun. Kelli gasped.
“Link! That sun on the floor looks exactly like the sun on my shield and my sword’s hilt! Look!” she said and turned around so Link could see her sword and shield.
“Hey, you’re right!” he replied. “But what could it bean?”
“I don’t know. Maybe that sign over there can tell us something”, Kelli pointed to a sign sitting in front of the edge of the floor where a pit was.
“Yeah, c’mon”, Link said. They ran over to the sign.
“It says: the wielder’s sacred possession shall lead the way”, Kelli read. “What do you suppose that means?”
“I don’t dow”, Link replied. They thought for a moment. Kelli broke the silence.
“Hmm…sun crest, wielder’s sacred possession, that’s it!” she cried.
“What, what?!” Link said, impatiently.
“That sun crest must be a mark like the Triforce mark”, Kelli explained. “It’s the mark of the sun, the symbol of that power. Since I wield the power, my sacred possession will open that door”.
“I’ll bet anything you’re right”, Link replied. “Except one thing. What’s the sacred possession?”
“Hmm, good question”. They thought again. This time, Link broke the silence.
“Wait a binute! Kelli! Your song! That’s it!” Link gasped. “You gotta hub your song while standink on the sun crest!”
“You sure?”
“I’m positive!”
“Well, I’ll try it”.
Link and Kelli walked back over to the sun crest on the floor. Kelli stood on it and began humming the soft notes of Kelli’s Song. After she finished, the bars on the door opened.
“What did I tell you?” Link remarked. They entered the door.
As they continued through the dungeon, they came upon more sun crests and eventually found the map. It showed two floors of rooms, along with what rooms were already explored.
Later on, Link and Kelli came across the first mini boss, which was a Deadhand, unsurprisingly. Simple fight for just one of them, let alone both. Deadhands were always easy for Link, even as a kid.
“Gee, why can’t Ganondorf for once give us a challenge?” Link asked. “I’b tired of fighting the sabe old enemies”.
“I’m with you”, Kelli agreed.
“But it just occurred to me, that he did give be one bit of a challenge”, Link stated. “And you’re not gonna believe what enemies I had to fight in the previous dungeon as the challenge”.
“Who?”
“Well, he recreated Dark Link, who I fought in the Water Temple last tibe he tried to take over, and the other…the other was…Dark Kelli”.
Kelli’s eyes grew wide.
“Wha…?! But…but how? How does he know about me?” she asked, shocked.
“Good question. I’ve been wondering the sabe think”, Link replied.
“Oh well, we’ll worry about this later. We need to continue”, Kelli stated.
In the next room, another big treasure chest sat on a slightly raised platform on the other side of the room and to their right was yet another sun crest. Link turned his attention to the chest first.
“That bust be the compass. C’mon!” he said. Kelli nodded. The two of them ran to the chest. Link opened it to reveal the compass. But just as he turned around, a look of shock was on Kelli’s face. A Redead had appeared behind Link. He quickly drew his sword. He was about to slice the Redead when all of a sudden, he let out a big sneeze and sent it flying into some pots on the floor. Link, meanwhile, had lost his balance and fell into the chest. Kelli laughed so hard, she nearly fell over. She stopped when she noticed the Redead coming towards her. But just as she drew her sword and sliced it, she heard the chest slam shut. Two Gibdos had trapped Link inside. Kelli screamed. The Gibdos’ appearance and Link being trapped really freaked her. Link was shaking inside the chest.
“Kelli! HELP!!” he screamed. The Gibdos began carrying away the chest.
“LINK!!” Kelli screamed back. She was so terrified that she forgot about the Redead, as it was lingering towards her again. Kelli quickly turned around. She made quick work of the Redead and then looked to see which direction the Gibdos had taken Link. She used her seeing through walls power to see if there were any hidden corridors. She found one just behind the raised platform in which the chest had sat on. Kelli followed it.
At the end, there was a hidden chamber. The two Gibdos were still carrying the chest Link was in and were about to dump it into a giant dark pit. Kelli screamed again. The Gibdos heard her and suddenly dropped the chest and went for her. She noticed there was something odd about them. Once they approached her, she did a spin attack, in which the beams from it took them out in a single hit. She heard Link say something.
“Kelli? Is that you?” he asked.
“Yeah, let me get you out of there”, Kelli replied. She tugged and pulled at the chest’s lid, but it wouldn’t open.
“Link, it won’t open”, she said.
“Try the lock. They locked the chest”.
“What?”
“I said try the lock!”
“Okay”. Kelli looked around the room for something to stick in the lock of the chest. She suddenly noticed a key lying on the ground where the Gibdos had disappeared. She ran to it.
“Link, I found a key!” she hollered.
“Good! It bust be the key that the Gibdos locked the chest with”, Link hollered back from inside the chest. Kelli ran back over to the chest. She stuck the key inside the lock. It fit. Soon, the chest opened and Link climbed out. He brushed himself off.
“Link, those two creeps were going to dump you over the side of the cliff here”, Kelli said. “You’re lucky I was here with you or you would’ve been a goner”.
“Wow, then you saved by life”, Link concluded. “Thanks! You really are a heroine to be”. Kelli smiled.
“Hey, I couldn’t let you get yourself killed”, she said. “You still need to find that Moon Sword. And…you’re a hero to me too”. It was Link’s turn to smile.
“Thanks, Kelli”, he said. “Dow let’s get back to the other roob. We dever got to that sun crest on the floor”. Kelli nodded. They then went back down the corridor to the room where they got the compass.
Once there, Kelli went to the sun crest and hummed her song again. A small treasure chest appeared next to her. She opened it to reveal a small key. But it wasn’t just any old small key. It was a shiny indigo blue color.
“Hmm, what do you suppose that key is for?” Link asked.
“I don’t know”, Kelli replied. “We’ll figure it out later”.
Link and Kelli continued their way through the dungeon. They came across another mini boss, which was once again, a Deadhand. And of course, they came across more sun crests.
One room after they fought the second Deadhand, they came across a door that had a lock and chains on it. They were shiny indigo blue, like the small key was.
“Hey, I bet that’s the door the key we have goes to”, Link stated.
“Yeah, I’ll try it”, Kelli said. She approached the door and stuck the key in the lock. It fit perfectly. Link and Kelli entered.
“Wow, do wonder that door had a special lock od it”, Link said. Two large indigo treasure chests, each bearing a silver crescent moon symbol, sat on a slightly raised platform that was between two lit torches.
“Link, you open them”, Kelli insisted. “I bet I know what’s in them”. Link nodded. He approached the chest on the left and opened it. Inside was a sword that slightly resembled the Master Sword. Its handle was an indigo blue color. On the hilt there was a golden crescent moon symbol, the same one Link always saw in random places, such as blocks, huge rocks, and Gerudo signs.
“The Boon Sword!” he cried. “Kelli, we fou…ACHOO! We found it!”
“Indeed, we did”, Kelli replied. “Now go open the other chest. It has the shield in it”. Link nodded and opened the other chest. Indeed it was the Moon Shield. And it, too, was indigo blue colored and bore a golden crescent moon symbol.
“Link, you now wield the power of the moon”, Kelli said with a smile.
“I do, indeed”, Link added. He suddenly noticed a moon crest on the floor to their left.
“Hey, I dever doticed that before”, he said and pointed at the moon crest.
“Me neither. It must mean you need to use your sacred possession on it”, Kelli replied.
“Yeah, but what could by sacred possession be?” Link asked.
“It has to be a song, that’s for sure”, Kelli said. They thought for a moment. Then Kelli broke the silence.
“You know, I think it’s Zelda’s Lullaby”, she stated with a smile.
“Dow, don’t you be getting any ideas!” Link said back.
“No, I’m not, silly”.
“And how do you dow that song?”
“Zelda taught it to me, of course”.
“I should’ve down”, Link remarked. “But, fine. I’ll try Zelda’s Lullaby. He went over to the moon crest and stood on it. He took out the Ocarina of Time and played Zelda’s Lullaby. It worked and another indigo blue treasure chest appeared next to him. Link just stood there, shocked. Kelli giggled at the look she saw on his face. Just then, Link glared at her and folded his arms.
“Okay, okay. I’m sorry”, Kelli quickly said. They then went over to the chest and opened it. Inside was a bundle of arrows that had indigo tips.
“Link! The Moon Arrows!” Kelli gasped with surprise. “I suspected they’d be here!”
“Be too”, Link added. “Dow I’b the…ACHOO!! Dow I’b the true Guardian of the Boon”.
“Indeed, you are”, Kelli said.
“Let’s continue”, Link insisted. He turned around and began walking.
“Wait”, Kelli replied. Link turned back around to face her.
“What?”
“Link, I feel I owe you an explanation about my sword and the sword you now hold”.
“But you already told be about the Sud Sword”, Link pointed out.
“Yes, but I didn’t tell you everything”, Kelli said. “I only told you how I found the sword and what it does. I didn’t mention much about the Moon Sword”.
“Oh, right”, Link said. “Well, tell be the rest then”. Kelli nodded.
“Link, these blades were made about nineteen hundred years ago”, she began. “The design of each blade was said to be where the Master Sword’s originated”.
“Wow, do wonder all three swords look sobewhat alike”, Link said. Kelli went on.
“Yes. After the two blades were made, they were infused with the powers of the sun and moon by the Sun Goddess and the Moon God. The Sun and Moon Arrows were also made and then infused with the powers of the Sun and Moon”.
“Wow, interesting”, Link commented. “I’ve never heard about a Sud Goddess or a Boon God. Did they sobhow vanish or something?”
“As a matter of fact, they did”, Kelli replied. “With their duties done, they went back to the heavens and were soon forgotten”.
“I see”.
“And because there was a Sun Goddess and a Moon God, the ones chosen to be Guardians of the Sun were often female and the ones chosen to be Guardians of the Moon were often male”, Kelli explained.
“Which is our case, right?” Link asked.
“Yep”, Kelli replied. “But…one thousand years ago, something happened that made people forget about these two blades for a long, long time”.
“Wow, what?”
“Guardians couldn’t be chosen anymore, because some Gerudos took the Sun Sword and kept it as their own treasure”, Kelli explained. “It’s said that they hid it where they thought no one would find it”.
“Wow, do you know where they hid it?” Link asked.
“No, but I think it may be the same place where I found it”, Kelli replied. “The Moon Sword was then hidden away as well”.
“Way down here, right?” Link added.
“Most likely”, Kelli said. “All those years before this event, those two blades were known as the Power Blades. But five hundred years after the event, the Master Sword was forged and made to resemble the blades that all had thought would be gone forever”.
“That bakes buch sense”, Link commented. “Were all three blades down as something else then?”
“Yep. They are now known as the Triblades”, Kelli replied. “The Sun and Moon Swords remained hidden away for one thousand years. Then I found the Sun Sword and the two blades aren’t forgotten anymore”.
“Wow, that is quite interesting”, Link concluded. “So, is there an evil sud and boon power?”
“Yes. The Sun Sword and arrows can smite the evil sun power, which is held within sun monsters. The Moon Sword and arrows can smite evil moon power, which is held within moon monsters”, Kelli replied.
“Oh, that’s right. I believe I’ve had to fight those already”, Link remembered. “But how do the swords and shields work on those monsters?”
“The shields reflect sun and moon attacks just as your Mirror Shield can reflect light”, Kelli explained. “And the swords are just more effective on them than they are on regular monsters”.
“Neat”, Link commented. “So, anything else?”
` “Ah yes. There’s one more thing”, Kelli said. “We can also combine the two powers to form even more powerful attacks”.
“Wow, re…ACHOO!! Really?”
“Yep. We can do it by touching sword tips or by using a Sun Arrow and a Moon Arrow”.
“Neat”, Link concluded. “Well, if that’s all, we’d better continue”.
Kelli nodded. They left the room.
As they made their way through the rest of the dungeon, Link and Kelli started coming across both sun crests and moon crests. They also came across a final mini boss which was another Deadhand. After that, they found the room with the boss key in it.
“Finally”, Link said as he opened the bright blue and yellow chest and retrieved the boss key.
“And after all that trouble we went through, the treasure chest thing, finding the Moon Sword, and figuring out those sun and moon crests”, Kelli added.
“Yeah, that was a load of trouble”, Link agreed. “Well, let’s go to the boss dow. The boss roob door is in the next roob”.
In the next chamber, they met up with some strange monster they’ve never seen before. They drew their swords. But suddenly, the monster spit green sludgy stuff at Link. Link couldn’t block it and it hit him right in the chest, making him fall over. He tried to get up, but he couldn’t.
“Kelli! Help, I’b stuck!” he yelped. He was beginning to feel weird as he could smell the awkward smell of the green sludge.
“Hang on a minute!” Kelli called back. She ran to the monster and started fighting it. Link tried to sit up a little to see what was going on. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Kelli was fighting that monster like crazy! She was doing all sorts of attacks. Parries, thrusts, kicks, horizontal and vertical slices, and more. Once she gave the monster the final blow, it fell to the floor and disappeared. Then Kelli went over to Link and began cutting up the sludge. When she was finished, Link got up and brushed the rest off.
“Nasty stuff, huh?” Kelli said.
“Tell me about it”, Link replied. He just realized something. “Hey, my cold’s gone!”
Kelli laughed. “Wow, leave it to a sun monster to cure your cold with its sludge!” she joked.
“That is kinda funny”, Link added. “But that was a sun monster? How could you tell those apart from moon monsters and regular monsters?”
“I forgot to tell you, it’s the color of the eyes”, Kelli replied. “Sun monsters have yellow or orange eyes, while moon monsters have blue or red eyes”.
“I see”, Link said. “Well, on to the boss room”. Then they walked over to the door to the boss room and entered.
The boss room was large and circular. There was a ghostly atmosphere in the air. Link and Kelli noticed large paw prints on the floor. They soon found out who they belonged to.
A huge ghost-like wolf with long fangs had appeared from nowhere. It stood in front of Link and Kelli and howled real loud.
“Whoa, what is that thing?” Link asked as the wolf began running around the room like a dog.
“Link, Kelli, be careful! That’s Howler, the Shadow Wolf!” Navi warned them.
“No wonder it looks like a ghost”, Kelli said.
“How are we supposed to defeat it?” Link asked. Just as he said it, Howler suddenly split in two identical wolves.
“Oh no”, Kelli said quickly.
“Howler splits herself into two wolves, one being a sun version and the other being a moon version”, Navi explained. “You need to attack the moon version, and Kelli has to attack the sun version”.
“I see!” Link shouted and whipped out his bow. He fired a Moon Arrow at the moon version of Howler. At almost the same time, Kelli had whipped out her bow and fired a Sun Arrow at the sun version of Howler. Both wolves were hit and fell to the floor stunned. Link and Kelli ran over to them and searched for a weak spot. They found Howler’s ankles were it.
After being sliced about eight times, the Howler copies got back up and started running around again. Occasionally, they would spit balls of moon and sun magic at Link and Kelli, who reflected them back with their shields, stunning the Howler copies and making them fall to the floor.
After being hit with Sun and Moon Arrows three more times, the Howler copies suddenly combined into one wolf again and started running after Link. But before he could even run a few feet away, Link was bitten in the arm by Howler, lifted in the air, and shook around.
“AHHH!! AHHH!! AHHH!!” Link screamed at the top of his lungs as he was being shook around with Howler’s long fangs sinking into his arm. Kelli screamed.
“LINK!” she yelled. She fired a Sun Arrow at Howler’s mouth, being careful not to hit Link. After being hit, Howler howled loudly and dropped Link, who fell to the floor. She fell as well, stunned again. Kelli ran for her, but tripped over Link’s foot on the way and fell. Howler suddenly got up and ran towards her, not knowing she was there. Her front right paw scratched up Kelli’s left leg as she ran over it.
“AHHHH!” Kelli screamed as Howler’s claws ripped her skin. Link got up and saw Kelli’s leg.
“Kelli!” he yelled as he ran to her. Link helped her up as Howler split in two again.
“Gee, Kelli, those scratches look pretty serious”, Link commented.
“Not as serious as your bite”, Kelli added. Link glanced at his right arm.
“Yeah, that’s true”, he said. “Well, let’s not just stand here, we need to destroy that wolf”. Kelli nodded. They continued firing the Sun and Moon Arrows at the Howler copies.
After being hit with the arrows five more times, Howler finally was defeated. Just after Link and Kelli had given her the final blows, she got up, howled real loud, and fell to the floor, turning into a skeleton.
Just after, Kelli clutched her bloody, scratched up leg, while Link was clutching his arm. Suddenly, Kelli let go of her leg and started looking around the room. Seconds later, she saw a cell at the east end of the room.
“Link! Impa’s over there! C’mon!” Kelli gasped. They ran to Impa’s cell. Link fired a Light Arrow at the lock. Impa walked out.
“Thank you, Link and Kelli for getting me out”, she said. She noticed their wounds. “Hmm, those wounds of yours look serious. I’ll have to do something after we get out of here”.
“Thanks, Impa”, Kelli said.
“Yes, thanks”, Link added. “I could’ve had my whole arm bitten off”.
“I know”, Impa said. “But Link, you must listen to me. I know you are now the Guardian of the Moon, but you are still the Hero of Time as well, as long as you still have the Master Sword in your possession”.
“Yeah, but I don’t see how I was chosen to be both”, Link replied.
“I’m sure you’ll find out soon enough”, Impa assured him. “There is a special reason why”.
“And even I don’t know it, Link”, Kelli added.
“And Link, for rescuing me, I give you this”, Impa said as she handed him a purple diamond with the Shadow emblem on it. It had a slight glow like the others.
“Now that I have the Shadow Diamond, let’s get out of here. A blue portal appeared”, Link said. Then the three of them walked into the portal.

Well, do you like it? I thought it turned out interesting.

It would be nice if I could get more replies...

But anyway, chapter thirteen is ready, so read, read, read!

Chapter Thirteen: Return to Lon Lon Ranch

Once everyone was back in the graveyard, Impa took another glance at Link and Kelli’s wounds. They were still quite bloody.
“C’mon. Let’s get you two cleaned up”, Impa said. She motioned Link and Kelli to follow her.
“Where are we going, Impa?” Kelli asked as they left the graveyard.
“Yeah, where?” Link added.
“My house”, Impa replied. They started walking towards her house.
Suddenly, the King, who’d been near the well, noticed them.
“Link! Kelli! What happened to you two?!” he asked, worriedly. “I saw you go in the graveyard and I was beginning to worry”.
“We went to go save Impa”, Kelli replied.
“We got hurt too, as you can see”, Link added. Just then, the King looked at their wounds.
“Whoa, what happened? You two look seriously hurt”, he said.
“I was bitten, and Kelli was scratched”, Link replied.
“Yeah, Impa’s going to help us”, Kelli added.
“Well, you two go get cleaned up. I hear one of the villagers calling me”, the King said and left towards the gate to Death Mountain.
When they arrived at Impa’s house, Impa led Link and Kelli inside. It didn’t look too much different than it had last time Link had seen it. Impa went rummaging through some cabinets and pulled out four pieces of cloth. Two pieces were long and two were short.
“Link, let me do you first. That bite may be more serious than Kelli’s scratches”, Impa insisted and started wiping up the blood on Link’s right arm with one of the small pieces of cloth.
After she finished, Impa rapped one of the longer pieces around Link’s upper arm, where the bite was and tied it.
“Gee, that feels a lot better now”, Link commented. “Thanks”.
“It’s the least I can do”, Impa replied. “Kelli, you’re next”. Impa took the second small piece of cloth and began wiping up the blood on Kelli’s left leg. But then she noticed something.
“Odd…these scratches of yours aren’t that long”, Impa observed. “I would’ve expected them to be longer, judging from the size of that wolf’s claws”.
“Well, Howler didn’t even know I was on the floor or she would’ve really done something”, Kelli protested. “You might say Link tripping me by accident saved me”.
“Sorry about that”, Link said. “I didn’t see you coming”.
“It’s not your fault”, Kelli replied. “I was the one who made Howler drop you”.
“So you’re blaming yourself?” Impa asked.
“No, I’m saying it’s nobody’s fault”, Kelli replied. “Even if I made Howler drop him somewhere else, it still would’ve happened”.
“You know, she’s right”, Link added. “Kelli still would’ve had to run to Howler to attack her and therefore, still trip over my feet”.
“Yeah, that’s true”, Impa said as she rapped the other long piece of cloth around Kelli’s shin, where the scratches were and tied it.
“Well, this feels good”, Kelli commented. “Thanks”.
“Like I said before, it’s the least I can do”, Impa replied.
“I need to get going. There’s still two more sages out there that need rescuing”, Link said.
“And I need to get back to protecting the village”, Kelli added. “Who knows? A monster may have already appeared right under my nose, hehe”.
“Very funny”, Link said. Kelli giggled.
“Well, bye then”, Impa said. Link and Kelli left the house.
Once outside, Link and Kelli went down the stairs to where the well was.
“Well, Kelli, I better get going”, Link said. “Okay?”
“Okay, just remember I’ll be right here when you come see me after you’ve gotten all the diamonds”, Kelli told Link. “You got that?”
“Yep. See ya!” Link replied and started walking away.
“Bye!” Kelli hollered. Link went down more stairs and headed out of Kakariko Village.
Once outside, Link fed Epona a carrot and then mounted her. He started towards Gerudo Valley, but just after he’d crossed the bridge over the river, he felt like he’d lost some of his strength.
“Gee, Navi, my arm feels kind of weak”, Link complained. “What do you think I should do?”
“Hmm, let’s see…” Navi thought for a moment. “I know! How about going to Talon for some Lon Lon Milk?”
“Hey, now why didn’t I think of that?” Link asked. “Seems I’ve been away too long to remember that energizing milk”. He turned to head for Lon Lon Ranch.
Once there, he rode Epona inside. The ranch was peaceful and quiet as usual and once again, Malon was by the gate to the little fenced-in field humming Epona’s Song.
Link rode Epona over near Malon and dismounted her. When Malon noticed Link, she gasped and ran to him.
“Link!” she cried. “You came back, just as you prom—” Malon cut herself off. She saw Link’s right arm bandaged with cloth.
“Link! Your arm! What happened? Are you okay?” Malon suddenly said, worriedly.
“I’m fine”, Link replied. “I just got bitten badly by this huge wolf. I got lucky though. I could’ve had my whole arm torn off”.
“Don’t worry, Link”, Malon scolded him. “No matter how many injuries you get, you’ll always be cute”. She giggled. Link blushed big time.
“Oh no. Not again”, he mumbled to himself.
“Even if you got a scar on your cheek, you’d still be the handsomest guy around”, Malon kept giggling as Link blushed even more.
“I bet even Zelda thinks you’re good-looking”, Malon added. Link blushed hard this time.
“Uh…Malon?” he said. “Don’t you think you’re overdoing it a little?”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right”, Malon replied. “But a huge wolf bit you?”
“Yeah”, Link said. “A girl my age helped me defeat it. And it’s a good thing she did too, or else that wolf would’ve torn me to pieces”.
“Kelli?” Malon asked. “Was it her?”
“Yes…wait, you know her, Malon?” Link replied.
“Of course I do. Everybody knows about her being a true heroine, but I know her in person”, Malon said.
“Then I take it you’ve heard her sing too?” Link asked.
“Oh yes! I thought her voice was so beautiful, I taught her Epona’s Song and I thought she sounded better than me!” Malon replied.
“Yeah, I thought she sounded great too”, Link agreed.
“But Link, you must know something”, Malon said.
“What’s that?”
“Like you, Link, Kelli had a tough childhood. It’s what made her find her true destiny”.
“But why was it tough?”
“It’s…not my place to say”, Malon replied. “She should tell you”.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right”, Link said. “Well, I came to see your father. Where is he?”
“He’s in the stable with Mr. Ingo”, Malon replied.
“Okay”, Link said and headed for the stable.
Inside, Ingo was milking a cow and Talon was raking hay. When Talon saw who had entered the stable, he was so surprised, he dropped his pitchfork. Ingo just got up from the stool he’d been sitting on to milk the cow and looked at Link curiously.
“You look familiar”, he said. “Have I seen you before?”
“Oh, you don’t recognize me, Ingo?” Link asked. At the sound of his name, Ingo suddenly knew who was standing before him.
“Wait a minute, you’re the one who won Epona off me in that horse race!” Ingo realized.
“Indeed, I am”, Link replied.
“You also remind me of that one kid who came to the ranch one day and talked to Malon as if you two knew each other”, Ingo added.
“That was me alright”, Link said. “I was only ten back then. I’m seventeen now”.
“Well I’ll be. You must also be the forest kid I saw at the castle”, Talon finally said something. “And the kid who played the cucco game with me for the Lon Lon Milk”.
“That’s right”, Link said. “And speaking of Lon Lon Milk, that’s what I came for”.
“Cause your arm’s hurt?” Ingo asked.
“I thought you’d notice that”, Link replied. “And yes, that is the reason. My arm feels weakened and I’m going to need the energy back”.
“Okay, I’ll get you some”, Talon said. “Wait, hold up, you’re the Hero of Time everyone talks about aren’t you?”
“Yep, that’s me”, Link replied.
“Malon’s told me about you”, Talon said. “Gee, she wasn’t kidding when she said you were the handsomest guy around”. Link blushed big time. He was definitely afraid Malon might have a crush on him now.
“She also said your name’s Link, right?” Talon asked.
“Yes”, Link replied. “Now, if the milk still costs thirty rupees, I can still pay for it”.
“Nah, you don’t have to this time”, Talon said. “Since you’re such a big hero and all, it’ll be my treat”.
“Thanks”, Link said. He handed Talon one of his empty bottles.
“Lon Lon Milk comin’ right up”, Talon said as he headed out of the stable to the house. Ingo went back to milking the cow. By the time Talon came back, he had a full bucket of milk and put it by one of the horses’ stalls.
“Well, here you go”, Talon said and handed the bottle of milk to Link.
“Thanks, I’ll be on my way now”, Link said and left the stable.
Outside, Link went back to Epona. Malon was stroking her mane.
“Gee, Link, Epona seems glad to have seen me again”, Malon said. “I see you’ve taken such good care of her too”.
“Yeah, I feed her carrots every once in a while and she gets her exercise when I ride her”, Link replied. “You know, Epona seems so fond of carrots that she seems to want nothing but those”.
“Yeah”, Malon agreed.
“But when she knows I’ve run out of carrots, she’ll get fussy”, Link said. “It happened once when I was away, but that was before I knew where I could get any carrots”.
“It’s happened to me too”, Malon said. “I usually go to the market to get carrots for Epona and one time they ran out. I got stuck trying to feed her sugar cubes for a while”.
“I heard those are good for horses”, Link said. “But I’ve never come across any”.
“Yeah, they are, but they’re hard to get”, Malon replied. Link mounted Epona.
“Well, I better be going”, Link said. “I still need to find two more sages”.
“Good luck”, Malon said and waved good bye as Link left the ranch.
Once outside, Link took out the bottle of Lon Lon Milk and drank it until it was half-empty. He could now feel the strength returning to his right arm.
“Ah, feel the energy flow”, Link said. “For some reason, I feel like flexing my muscle”.
“Link, you always do when you drink a potion, Lon Lon Milk, or Chateau Romani”, Navi said.
“That’s true”, Link replied. “But I kinda feel like I’ve gotten stronger than I was before Kelli and I went to rescue Impa”.
“You probably have”, Navi added. “Now let’s go save Nabooru”.
“Okay”, Link said. He then headed for Gerudo Valley.

Do you like it? I made Link blush some more! It's so fun making him do that!

Chapter fourteen is ready to go!

Chapter Fourteen: A Fortress in Ruins

When Link arrived at the entrance to Gerudo Valley, he rode Epona inside.
Inside, the bridge that ran over the valley was completely gone and the carpenters’ tent was torn down. Ganondorf’s nuts if he attacked his own people, Link thought. Well, I guess imprisoning Nabooru is his excuse. He then noticed a huge chunk of rock had been blown off the side of the cliff near the entrance to the fortress grounds. It was sitting on the ground in front of the entrance, blocking Link’s path. A Gerudo guard was patrolling the area.
“Ohhh no”, Link said, gloomily. “How in Hyrule am I supposed to move that thing?”
“Good question”, Navi said. “A bomb is definitely not strong enough, and the Megaton Hammer isn’t either”.
“I’ll ask Kelli, but I don’t know if she—”, Link got cut off.
“Link!” the Gerudo guard noticed him. “Come here for a minute!” Link nodded and jumped the gap where the bridge used to be with Epona. After he stopped, he dismounted her.
“What’s wrong?” he asked the guard.
“Strange things have been happening here lately”, the guard replied. “What’s more, monsters have appeared in the fortress grounds and the place was torn apart!”
“What?!” Link gasped. “This isn’t good. I’d check it out, but the entrance is blocked”.
“Yeah, Ganondorf did that to prevent anyone, especially you, from getting in”, the guard said.
“Well, it won’t stop me”, Link said, bravely. “I’ll figure out a way to move it”.
“Good luck”, the guard added. Link walked over to the chunk of rock.
“As I was saying, I’ll ask Kelli about this, maybe she can come up with something, but I don’t know”, Link stated.
“Well, it’s worth a try”, Navi said. Link got out the Ocarina of Time, raised it to his lips, and played Kelli’s Song. Soon, Kelli’s voice filled the air.
“Link?” she said. “What’s wrong?”
“Um, Kelli, we have a new problem”, Link replied. “And it’s a big one”.
“What’s the problem?”
“I need to get to Gerudo’s Fortress, but Ganondorf blocked the entrance with a huge chunk of rock. I can’t figure out how to move it”.
“Oh no, I knew something like this was going to happen” Kelli replied. “But the solution’s simple”.
“What is it?”
“You’re wearing the Golden Gauntlets, just lift the rock!” Kelli said.
“Wha…?” Link looked at his hands. He was wearing them.
“Now how in Hyrule did those get there?” he asked. “Well, I suppose they went back in time with me”.
“Probably”, Kelli added. “By the way, one of the townsfolk had just come up to me and told me that when he was in town one day, he saw this yellowish light flying towards the castle carrying something”.
“Wow, that’s odd”, Link replied. “Well, thanks for telling me I had those gauntlets on. Why didn’t you tell me before?”
“I thought you knew”, Kelli said. “But you’re welcome. Bye”. Her voice vanished.
Link approached the rock and tried to lift it. Meanwhile, the Gerudo guard was just standing there in amazement, watching Link lift the huge rock and throw it in the valley. Link entered the fortress grounds.
When he was inside, Link’s mouth fell open. The Gerudo guard was right. The place was really torn up. The fortress itself was in ruins and the gate to the Haunted Wasteland was destroyed. Some of the patrolling Gerudo guards were wounded and Leevers were everywhere. Link was walking towards the fallen gate of the desert when he heard a voice calling his name.
“Link! Thank goddesses you’re here!” a Gerudo guard yelled. “Come quick!”
“What? What’s happening?” Link asked, impatiently.
“One of the guards got trapped under some of the rubble from the fortress!” the guard said. “You’ve gotta get her out!”
“What?! Where is she?!” Link asked.
“Over there!” the guard said and pointed to the east end of the fortress ruins.
“I’m on it!” Link said and ran to where the guard had pointed.
Once there, Link started rummaging through the rocks. Eventually, he heard a woman’s voice sounding weak.
“Uhhn”, the voice said. “Wh-who’s there?”
“It’s Link” Link replied. “I’m getting you out”. He unburied the Gerudo guard.
“Thanks” the guard said when she was out of the rubble. Link picked her up and brought her back to the rest of the guards.
“Link, you did it!” one said.
“Is she going to be okay?” another said.
“I hope so”, another said. Link put the injured guard down.
“L-Link”, she said. “If you’re…looking…f-for Nabooru…she’s at the…desert. Uhhhn, please…save her”. The guard fell unconscious.
After hearing these words, Link raced over to the entrance to the Haunted Wasteland and entered.
There was a sandstorm going on in the desert. Link had a tough time going through it. He crossed the river of sand, and he followed the flags to the small hut in the clearing where he met a ghost guide last time he was there.
Link searched around the hut for any secret entrances. He went inside and looked there. The two torches in there were lit and the remains of an opened treasure chest lied near them. Now why would Ganondorf destroy a treasure chest I opened?, Link thought. Wait a minute. He examined the chest remains. The lid was still attached. Link closed it. Suddenly, a secret door opened to his left. He gasped.
“I knew there was something fishy about that chest!” he cried. “Ganondorf must have destroyed it to make it look like some ordinary chest!”
“I’ll bet anything you’re right”, Navi added. They entered the opened door.
Inside, they found themselves in a somewhat large chamber. A few Armos statues were situated around the room and there was one door at the other end.
“Navi, we made it”, Link stated. “This is the Underground Spirit Dungeon”.

Hope you like it. Catch clue #4 in this chapter. It's one of Kelli's quotes. There's going to be one more clue given in a later chapter and then you all can start solving for the answer to the mystery.

Aw come on. Won't anymore people read this story? I hardly ever get replies.

But anyway, after this story is complete, you all know I will be featuring a bonus story in the thread. Well, guess what? There's going to be more after that! Yes siree, there's going to be a sequence of short stories that happen right after Newfound Powers. They go in order like episodes of a tv show. I have plots and prologues for six stories so far, so stay tuned for them once NP is finished and the bonus story is posted (which shouldn't be more than a month).

Only because people don't reply it doesn't mean they don't read it. I read all of it, and I hardly reply. But I understand if you want to know if people like your story.

Btw, if you mean like Tv shows, you're meaning like the series to a film in tv, or something?

I know that, lordof theforce. I know just because people don't reply doesn't mean they don't read it. But yes, it is nice if I know whether people like it or not.

And about the series thing, the sequel stories are supposed to go in an order kind of like The Powerpuff Girls tv show, like episode 1, episode 2, etc. Like this the stories go story 1, story 2, etc. You get the idea?
